Had to do it. Even though I wanted to rate this game a lower 8, it would feel wrong to not rate this an 8.7 as Sidney Crosby became the highest scoring Penguin of all time, passing his former teammate Mario Lemieux and putting himself 8th all-time in NHL points. He added another feather in his cap that looks like a peakcock at this point, but still has the potential to add even more to it. Next step, catch Steve Yzerman, he’s just 31 points away from 7th all-time so keep an eye on that. But back to this game. The Habs nearly played spoiler, not only tying up the game in the 3rd, but then they nearly won it in overtime. Thankfully for the Penguins, Silovs picked the right time to be a wall and helped the Pens secure the win along with Crosby’s history-making. Can’t forget to thank Rust’s shootout winner and Letang’s perfectly placed pass on Acciari’s goal in the 2nd period.

We really should have won that. We dominated for most of the game, especially in overtime with I don't even know how many posts we hit. Congratulations to Crosby. Most points in franchise history, passing Mario Lemieux. This guy is a true legend. There could be no better captain for team Canada in hockey. Excited for our next game against Boston. Philip Danault will be there.

Looked a little slow in the first half, but the forwards eventually found their footing.
Contrats on Crosby for passing Mario's record. OT was insane! Hutson played his butt off!
I really question St Louis' idea to put Suzuki in the shootout when he hasn't scored on one in oever 2 years. I like the captain, but he has to pracice those more.
