The Liberty jumped out to a lead in the first quarter and held on from there. Whenever the Storm made a run, New York responded with one of their own. This was my pick of the day, so I’m happy they held on for the win. Dominique Malonga had a great night with 31 points. She took 20 shots, so it’s kind off surprising that she attempted only 2 free throws. Breanna Stewart had 28 points and Jonquel Jones had a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds. It looked like Seattle might go on a run and take the lead, but Ionescu finally broke out of her bad shooting night and rattled off 8 points in a row. New York needs win and they got one tonight.

This was another really great showing by the Storm against the Liberty that comes up just short! It really didn’t look like this game would be close at all for the majority of the first half because New York was way out in front. The Storm didn’t go down that easy though! Seattle made this a four point game by halftime, and it would stay pretty close until the end! The Liberty would have the edge in the second half though and they were able to close out this game, but the Storm have put together some really nice games lately! The Liberty didn’t win nearly as comfortably as they would’ve liked!
