Mason Marchment full on deserved that. He knew exactly what he was doing to Schaeffer and thank God Barzal stood up for him. He will pay the consequences but so will Marchment.

I really thought Isles had this one. They just really let it go in 3rd period. Great effort by Blue Jackets though to stay the lead.

Chippy. Nasty. Close. What a game. I wanna take a moment and say that everything about that trip was handled perfectly. Dirty play, you deserve to get your shins obliterated like they are a baseball on a tee. That move has no place in this great sport. I’m fine with the ejection and I commend the Islander for having the balls to do something like that. There needs to be a price to pay for a move like that. Would have liked to see an all out scrum after it but I see why the referees had to break that one up. Even tho the score doesn’t reflect it that situation made this game a 10/10
