Welp, this was a great game and there are a lot of positives to take away from this, but damn. I can’t believe that the Ducks lost after outshooting the Sharks by 30. It felt like the Sharks scored on every single good chance they had, and the Ducks couldn’t get anything to go in. The Ducks have now lost 4 of their last 5

San Jose really were swinging on the few shots they had but that was enough. Sharks goalie was a beast here and the Ducks just kept shooting in hopes for something but only got a few in. But that really wasn’t enough.

Idk how you manage to win a game with 30 less shots than your opponent but the Sharks just did it. Incredible. Impressive stops down the stretch by the defense and Askarov to maintain a lead, as well as the needed lead extension goal by Ostapchuk.

I mean frustrating end, ducks playing catch up the entire game. Tough break for Celebrini, I’m sure he’ll be okay, but hopefully the black eye clears soon for all those fangirls. I will see this matchup in April, hopefully with the scores flipped.
