Fun fact: the Predators have officially swept the Flames with this win. Isn’t that weird? Even I didn’t realize we were on the cusp of that. That aside, the Flames played pretty well… in the 1st and 3rd. They got absolutely obliterated in the 2nd. Panthers had all the control in the middle frame. Somehow that only led to 1 goal and that was only because of a Wolf giveaway. Besides that awful giveaway, Wolf was good, just not transcendent enough to save us. On the plus side, Backlund-Coleman-Coronato remains a genuinely great line for us. Backlund and Coleman have always had chemistry somehow but Coronato has emerged as the do-everything sniper for them. Would love to see more of that line. Sadly, they got overshadowed by Erik Haula and Michael Bunting of all people having their way with us. I could certainly see overtime in my future only for Hague to win it with a last minute goal. Great game overall, besides the 2nd period, but a bummer for me. Not for the tank tho.
