This was almost an outstanding comeback for the Sparks! The Valkyries got a big lead in first quarter, and they would never give it up. The Sparks would eventually make them work for the win though! They wouldn’t put any pressure on Golden State until about five minutes left where they went on a crazy run! They were down by 19 at a time in this game and they were down by 10 at that point, but they would give the Valkyries a big scare! They hit some big threes very late and they just needed a couple more to get this win or send it to overtime, but those threes wouldn’t fall as the comeback comes up short. What a resilient effort by the Sparks to even make this a game!

With a 29-point first quarter, Golden State jumped out to a big lead that they would never give up. The game was starting to get a little boring and then the Sparks heated up and made it a little interesting. It was a three-point game with about 30 seconds left when Salaün hita three-point dagger to seal the victory. Cecilia Zandalasini scored 15 points and was perfect from three. Tiffany Hayes had 14 points, so it wasn’t the usual suspects for the Valkyries tonight. Nice win for Golden State to keep my streak intact.
