Tough high scoring L. Mabrey more than held her own and Sabally tried her best, but it never felt like we had a chance after the first quarter. Toronto was basically helpless. Ironically, I feel like I’ve been an Atlanta Dream hater by accident. I’ve had little confidence in them all year and they have proved me wrong more often than not. It all comes down to rebounding. The most obvious source of those boards is Angel Reese. She grabbed 14 alongside her 20 points on good efficiency to not only help Atlanta crush the Tempo, but also set a new WNBA record for most double doubles in a single season. That wasn’t the only record set and it just added onto the pain of this blowout, so instead I focussed on Toronto’s primary bright spot, Marina Mabrey being great. 7 3s and 36 points, can’t wait until that woman has a great team around her. Speaking of that future great team, Kiki looked great in the minutes she played. Although she was ironically outperformed by a point guard named Canada.

It was close in the first quarter, but then the Dream got hot in the second quarter. Atlanta pretty much controlled the game from that point. Marina Mabrey seems to be back ihn form as she scored 36 points. She was efficient, shooting 12-19, including 7-13 from three. It was a team effort for the Dream. Howard had 22 points and Canada and Reese each had 20 points. Reese had yet another double-double, grabbing 14 boards too. Atlanta also had 3 other players in double figures. It wasn’t the most compelling game, but kind of entertaining.

A lot of records for the Dream Angel Reese with a new season high with 22 double doubles….Rhyne Howard fastest to make 100 3ptrs she made 6 of them 2nite and broke the record with the Dream gettin their 100th points of the game and I can’t forget Money Mabrey she finished the game with 7 3ptrs made🔥🔥🔥

Yeah, that was very expected. I was going into this game hoping that the Tempo could put up a fight and they definitely tried, but it wasn’t close to enough. They did keep the first quarter close though! Then it was all Dream. Atlanta started pulling away in the second quarter, and they followed that up by getting a giant lead in the third quarter. Toronto would make one good push right at the end of the third and come pretty close to closing the gap to start the fourth, but the Dream were able to pull back away right after. This game was probably better than I expected though
