Top fan take from @FlameRaptorRaven: “The Battle of Pennsylvania, except Philly must’ve forgot that was tonight and thought they were doing an inter-squad scrimmage because they looked unengaged. After they heard the goal horn for the 3rd time, I think it finally clicked that they’re in Pittsburgh and they started playing for real, albeit only briefly as the Penguins kept control all game. Ever since I started watching hockey, my favourite kinds of goals are the tic tac toe goals and the Penguins had a sexy one early. Great passing from the Penguins became a theme, including a scintillating one from Malkin to set up Chinakov for the 3rd one. Lizotte completely outworked the Flyers for goal #4 and basically sealed it up. Leading to Matvei Mitchkov fully embracing the rivalry and getting into a fight was amazing to watch. Unfortunately it did lead to Crosby getting his 650th goal, 15th player to do it. The Penguins were 209-32-13 when Crosby, Malkin and Letang each record a point coming into this one, they are now 210-32-13.”
