Ok in my review for this game I am going to write about something which has confused me this whole season... what are the Sparks doing with Cameron Brink. She has been healthy the entire season yet coming off the bench. I understand the injury risk with her ACL last year and now her ankle injury this year, but even before the injury this year she was coming off the bench. To be the #2 overall pick in the draft and being put on the back burner due to injury is very confusing... specially for the Sparks who are now 12-20 and searching for anything to bring people in the doors. She is a good ball player who is not getting the minutes she deserves due to poor coaching and poor management not giving her the time to get better. There is absolutely no reason at this point in the season she should not be starting games specially when the team has saw the small ball lineup is not working.
Very frustrating when you see a team just making bad moves for the future of their players.

The Sparks should have had the advantage with Kelsey Plum out, but that was not the case. A close game with a lot of back and forth. Copper had a great third quarter, scoring 11 points in it. The player of the game was Noemie Brochant. She averages 6 points a game. She exploded for 24 points. She definitely had the hot hand as she shot 10-13. I’ll take that any night. The Mercury made the plays down the stretch and get the surprising win. They shot the ball well (52%) and that made all the difference.

The Sparks got themselves into another good close game, and they can’t close it out again. Kelsey Plum didn’t even play and they still couldn’t beat the Mercury. Like I said, this was a really great close game with some awesome back and forth action, but a late run for Phoenix was able to push them past Los Angeles. I did think that it was funny that this game was at the USC basketball stadium and they had UCLA health advertisements on the court though
