The Fire controlled the game and never trailed, but they almost let a 16-point lead slip away. The Storm gave up a ton points off of turnovers (28) and at one point were shooting 20-something percent. But they started hitting shots midway through the fourth and made it a game. Holly Winterburn had a season-high 20 points for Portland and Carleton, Dileo and Leite each had 14 points. Awa Fam hit a few shots late to get Seattle back in it and had 20 points as well. The Storm had a chance but Hiedeman couldn’t get her three to drop.

The Storm almost pull off the stunner! Seattle kept this game close, but the Fire definitely had an edge. The only good lead that Portland had was 14 points right after halftime, and it wouldn’t last long! The Storm would close the gap yet again before letting this game slip away a bit again, but they made an amazing push right at the very end of the game! The Fire had a seven point lead with two minutes left, and they turned this into a one point game thanks to a huge three in the dying seconds of the game! Unfortunately for the Storm, Portland would be able to recover and hold off Seattle! Almost a huge choke from the Fire
