Surprised it wasn’t a bigger blowout tbh and I’m even more shocked we actually made it close down the stretch. To Toronto’s credit, they didn’t roll over and die. They started on their feet and sat up more than a few times after getting knocked down. I was ready to say they never looked like the better team… until the end! Mabrey had the rare bad shooting night. Just kept throwing them up and they wouldn’t drop for 3 quarters. She finally found her shot when she needed it most and helped Toronto get within 4 points. It just wasn’t enough and we couldn’t fully escape the hole we dug ourselves. I’ve said this many times: I love how resilient this team is and how they compete down the stretch. I just really wish they could play like that in the other 3 quarters. On the plus side, Brittney Sykes is back, yay! Sadly her return only keeps this game out of the red comfortably. Especially since Sykes was very much needed and Morrow had a great game too. We just couldn’t stop CC and KM, oh well

Good on Toronto for keeping this a game, but the Fever were of course able to close it out. As I said though, this was a pretty fun game! Indiana was for sure the better team, but the Tempo were feisty! They went on a couple nice runs and really threatened the Fever’s lead at times! Their biggest and best run was at the very end of this contest, but Indiana is able to recover and take down the Tempo. Not a bad game at all though

Kelsey Mitchell was money last night. She played so well. It’s a shame she went out with an injury. I wish she received more credit for her play this season. It seems she’s overshadowed by Clark (who is a really good player too) and Cunningham (no comment, I don’t want to get deleted). I believe she has 20 straight games of at least 20 points. The Fever were in control until Mitchell went out. Mabrey hit some threes and it was a game, but they couldn’t get a few more stops. It doesn’t get easier for Toronto as they play again tonight against the Mystics.
