That alone was very exciting for me personally, but it would be Utah’s bottom lines that stole the show at first. Carcone and Kerfoot were rolling, helping each other feast on a top-heavy Blue Jackets D-core with some help from the usual suspects in Logan Cooley and Dylan Guenther. Weegar got to help them out too. Right when I thought Utah had it in the bag, we got the rare Columbus comeback instead of a Blue Jackets choke job. Herculean efforts from Fantili and Marchment tied this game up and a switch flipped in everyone. There was now some animosity. In the middle of a bunch of pushing and shoving, the Blue Jackets carried their momentum into multiple fights with Mammoth players and won all of them. It really looked like Columbus would pull it off. There would be no happy ending as Cooley ended thanks to a great setup from Keller. This game had basically everything. Sweet goals and athletic saves galore.”
