That first statement alone should tell you everything about this game. Although my favourite part of the game was the “We Want Playoffs!” chants. It was so clear and you can tell Ottawa wants the Senators to salvage their season BAD. This was another classic “no good goaltending allowed” kind of game. After the Sharks scored first, Drake Batherson tied it up, only for Tyler Toffoli to take a grab the lead back for San Jose. At this point, I’d say it was somewhat even in terms of play. Maybe a slight edge to Ottawa. That all changed in the 2nd. Foegle tied it up, only for Graf to give the lead back to San Jose. It only took 1 powerplay to shift the tide. Zetterlund blasted one home and Kleven gave Ottawa the lead. Misa chomped that lead in the 3rd and Drake Batherson finally busted down the door, took the lead back and Ottawa never gave it up. Fun game with all the goals, but could’ve been better”
