I mentioned how Florida’s luck ran out in their last game. This game could be the definitive result that officially marks Florida’s drop off from unstoppable force of nature to a team on the outside looking in. Scapegoating Bobrovsky is easy, although he does deserve some blame. This is just not the same Florida team. The Panthers teams of the last 2 years wouldn’t let the worst team get the jump on them. Panthers teams of the past wouldn’t look lifeless until it was almost too late. Even when Vancouver tried to let Florida comeback either Lankinen shut the door or a Panther flubbed it. On the positive end, Elias Pettersson looked like the guy Vancouver paid all that money for. He was brilliant in the 1st period and got 2 goals out of it. Vancouver’s Minnesota acquisitions looked like great consolation prizes for losing Quinn Hughes and as mentioned, Lankinen was great”
