Edmonton, what the hell?! I root for you to beat the Golden Knights this one time so you can make the criminal between the pipes look as bad as he did on trial and you played like THAT?! Good lord. The Oilers came into this game with a great opportunity to take firm control of the pacific. That chance landed in the palm of their hand when the Ducks lost to the basement-dwelling Flames regulation. Unfortunately, the Oilers clearly didn’t notice that because they threw that prospect into a pool of oil and lit it on fire. Blaming the goalie is an easy (and sometimes unfair) go-to but Godamnit it’s true tonight. Don’t get me wrong, part of this is also on Edmonton’s defense. Like when Walman let Eichel get by him then let Howden beat him to the rebound. But some of the others… really would like a save there. If only you had a guy that did that and a GM that would get that guy. The only good things I will say about Vegas is Torts may have actually helped them and Ras looked good.
