It took a lot longer than it should’ve, but the Sparks have finally figured how to close out games! This particular matchup was neck and neck for almost the entire night! Washington did start to run away with this game at the end of the second half, but Los Angeles was able to make it up pretty early in the third quarter to set up an awesome finish! There was some more of this back and forth action but the Sparks were able to get a nice cushion at the very end of this game! They were able to ride on that until the final buzzer as they get a very strong win! I wish the Sparks were doing this before they were eliminated, but better late than never I guess

Really surprising that the Mystics couldn’t hold a 17-point lead against a team whose season is basically over. You have to give a mot of credit to the Sparks for a strong second half. They had the back door cut going and Rae Burrell was money in the fourth. Ogwumike is closing out her career on a high note in this one, which is cool to see. Also, nice to see Brink playing well. She can really be a nuisance on defense.
