A certain man on the Oilers dominated this game and powered Edmonton to first in the pillow fight (aka the Pacific). I can’t say for sure if Connor McDavid takes anything personally frankly, but this game definitely felt personal. With all the talk about Celebrini being potentially the best player in the NHL, McDavid had to remind the kid of the natural order. However, I think the turning point was when Celebrini scored the first goal. There were probably Sharks fans that chirped him or he thought about the commentators mentioning Macklin’s Hart case, he had enough. Saying he took over is an understatement. He bent the game to his will. When he wasn’t finding the perfect pass like aim-bot in an FPS, he was carving through the Sharks’ defense like a hot knife through butter. Not even San Jose’s elite vibes could save them because Connor McJesus had the SAP Center in shocked silence like they had just witnessed a beat down of epic proportion. Which is what happened. They learned a lesson

Connor McDavid just won the game by himself for the team. I mean he kind of had two lucky goals but he literally fed all of his teammates one by one and scored a beauty of a goal. 5 points for the 5 goals. Buddy is so locked in for bringing his team to the Stanley Cup finals, he also probably really wants that number one spot for the most points in the league. Sharks were not really in it. 14 shots against the Oilers is really bad. Honestly, Edmonton's goaltending is mid but the defensive play is horrible
