Going coast to coast for an OT winner to clinch a playoff spot right after the Avs just barely missed scoring their own OT winner . Before that crazy sequence, this was a great game. Torts may be just a motivator, but it cannot be denied that he has the Golden Knights buzzing. Of course that’s only good for so much against the Avalanche. In this case, it meant they managed to keep up. I’d say the play weighed in Colorado’s favour slightly during the 1st and morphed into a balanced scale throughout the other 2 periods. Not to mention some weird moments, including Jared Bednar getting hit in the head by a puck. Hopefully he is okay so we can look back and laugh. Overall it was just a consistently entertaining game that ended with an awesome overtime. Eichel obviously became the hero with his OT winner. I also think Barbashev deserves a ton of credit beyond just his assist for also playing his ass off. ”
