Jonathan Quick hangs up the pads
This game is the final start in the career of Jonathan Quick. The American-born goalie ends with a loss, he will finish 16th all-time in losses and 12th in career wins.
He’ll retire with 2 Cups (technically 3), a Conn Smythe and 2 Jennings trophies. His number will surely be retired by the Kings and the Rangers will probably fondly remember him as the old man backing up Shesterkin while still being solid.
For all the crap the Panthers deserve, I have to give them credit sticking around and giving Quick some handshakes and pats in his final game. Not many get that level of respect in their final game. Quick earned it.
