Wtf was going on in this game?! This may be the most low-key 6-5 game I have ever watched. What a way to finish Prime Monday Night Hockey for the season. The Stars already clinched their playoff spot and secured home ice advantage against the Wild in round 1. Meanwhile, the Leafs are basically in tank-mode to salvage their top-5 protected 1st round pick from being given to Boston as they currently reside 5th from the bottom. With clear stakes, you’d assume the Stars would have an easy path to victory. Well, that didn’t happen. Instead, the Stars had to make 2 separate multi-goal comebacks in order to beat the Leafs. Watching it was baffling frankly. The game wasn’t especially fast nor did it have a ton a juicy rebounds/great chances for either side. It was just a lot going going right for the skaters and a lot going poorly for the goalies. Mavrik Bourque secured his first ever hat trick in part than to a flubbed pass from Nylander. Although,he was great besides that error. Strange game
