We sure have seen some lopsided games this weekend and this was another one. The Valkyries defense was solid again, holding the Fire to 69 points. Bridget Carleton had an especially rough night. The Valkyries look like they are going to end up the 2-seed. That’s pretty impressive in their second year. One more game and we’re onto the FIBA break. Hopefully, we’ll get some good games there.

Portland was no match for the Valkyries. For a tiny bit of the first quarter this game was close, but Golden State completely ran away with this one. The Fire didn’t put together a single threatening run as the Valkyries never stopped pulling away. It just was never close in the slightest
