DID YOU HEAR THAT CROWD?! The stadium was shaking! Especially when Lane Hutson ended it! This is the 8th time playoff history in NHL history to go to overtime in each of the first 3 games and this is the 2nd game of this series to end with a BANG. Before that, we got some back-and-forth before it became one-sided. Unlike the previous games, Montreal really dictated the pace of this one. Even when Kucherov tried to play physical, he only ended up hurting himself. They managed to match Habs’ early assault before throwing their own punch out of necessity to not be bulldozed by the Montreal machine. The 2nd was mostly Montreal, the 3rd was ALL Montreal. It felt like an inevitability they’d win, the only question was when. I’m grateful they waited until overtime. Lane Hutson deserves all the flowers, but Dach and Texier also deserve some flowers. ”
