This game 7 lived up to the hype and then some, especially when it came to nerves. Holy cow my heart was beating throughout this game and it only got faster when the 3rd came around and eventually, overtime. Overtime was a little slow, but very intense back and forth ending with a shot in the heart to every Buffalo-resident. Before that, we got a great game. The trend of insane 1st periods did not continue in this one, but Montreal jumped ahead once again. Danault picked the perfect time to score his first goal of the playoffs, then Bolduc doubled the lead with a perfect blast. The Sabres didn’t forget what happened in game 6 and came out firing on all cylinders in the 2nd and 3rd. Dahlin in particular was sensational as he carried over his game 6 performance. Jakub Dobes kept Montreal’s season alive and allowed the baddest man on the planet rn, Alex Newhook, to score the winner in overtime. Sadly, there were some brief ref shenanigans, but nothing that took away from this awesome game

In October this season I went to a game, we lost, and started the season 0-3. At the end I watched a Sabres fan throw his jersey on the ice. I tried booing him, but I was drowned out by the other fans booing the Sabres lmao. Since then we not only ended the drought, but won the Atlantic, and went to Game 7 OT of the 2nd round. I couldn’t be happier. What a season, this team will forever mean a lot to me. With that being said…. I can’t wait to watch the Canes wipe the fucking FLOOR with the Habs

WOW. there is nothing better than game 7 overtime hockey argue a wall. Buffalo gave it everything but came up short. Buffalo has to solve their goalie problem and fast because you're not gonna make it to a finals with UPL and Lyon as your goalies. For that reason I think the only team in the east that can compete with the canes because of their scoring and their speed. I'm hoping Montreal makes it to the finals so we can see that fanbase at the finals.

Thank the hockey lords for an actual good game. Feels like forever mane. Game 7 game that went to OT YES! Game looked like it was going to be same old same old we saw all this series but it settled down and was really good. Wish Buffalo got the win but hey we take this game. Now I'm worried for what the Canes are about to do...

OT Thriller pulled out by Montreal. Buffalo controlled much of the last three periods but came up short on one shot that got past Luukonen. Alex Newhook scored the GWG in OT, giving him his second GWG in game sevens this postseason. Jakub Dobes was great in front of the net, holding the Sabres to only two goals, which was enough to get the win.

LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOO!!!! What a series this has been but I honestly feel like the Habs deserved to win it. Overall, Montréal played better minutes than Buffalo but just choked often when the game was on the line. Dobes is winning the MVP of the playoffs of the Habs end up winning. Literally the main reason why we can compete against these teams. Can't believe we just beat the two best Atlantic teams in the league, we are in the Carré d'Ace. Really don't know what to expect against Carolina because we've surprised a lot of people these playoffs but the Hurricanes have the best playoff record and stats any team has seen in a long time.
