But the Avalanche are still the best team in the NHL, and they didn’t back down. Nichushkin scored and then with 2 and a half minutes left MacKinnon makes an amazing play to set up Landeskog for a goal. Somehow, Nic Dowd beat every Av to the puck to hit the empty netter to end it. Embarrassing effort on that last play by Colorado. Carter Hart was absolutely incredible, making 36 saves on 38 shots.”
