And that my friends comes the end of the 2025-26 NHL season. This was the first season I was truly a fan of the NHL. Despite living in New York, I watched every Bruins game I could. Come playoff time, I rooted for the Bruins harder than I ever had before and felt the pain when we choked game one. When we lost the series. Late in the playoffs, I made it a point to watch some puck every single night it was on. I started to like hockey much more than I ever thought I would. Before this year, I never liked sports where it was just back and forth and there would be a few goals over the course of the game. But I've become a huge fan of both hockey and soccer recently. I'm super excited for next season, with the Bruins fielding an amazing young core led by Hagens, Minten, and Khusnutdinov, and the veteran leadership of McAvoy and Pastrnak. Thank you to everyone on RateGame who has helped me become such a big fan of hockey this year. Special thanks to Flame, the biggest hockey fan on this app!

Before I get started, let me just say congratulations to Carolina, you guys pull off something incredible, and it should be celebrated as such. It’s not like Carolina had to pick their opponent, but I know someone that did. Gary, looking back on it, it’s kind of weird that a 39 win team would get this far, swept Colorado, defeated two small market teams, just really weird to me that just all stopped. We had probably 10+ goals taken away from us this entire series. I guess that somebody just didn’t like how it was looking. Everybody has been rather bad, but, it’s just very weird to me. I think Carolina won fair. I love to see them get what they always wanted, I’m not vengeful or hateful, at least towards them. I just adore being put in the spotlight so everyone can bash me every single second of the day, don’t worry, the season is over. I actually believe it could’ve been over sooner than this, but a loser had other plans. I love all my fellow knights who never quit. Thank you Torts.

20 years ago, the Carolina Hurricanes won game 7 to clinch the Stanley Cup on the back of a terrific rookie goaltender’s great performance. Today, the Hurricanes have won game 6 to clinch the Stanley Cup on the back of another rookie goaltender’s great performance. The Carolina Hurricanes are Stanley Cup champions.
They won that Cup like how they won this game: relentless pressure, clutch goaltending when it has to and an unstoppable line that will go down in the history books. Stake n Hall drove the offense. Former Oilers top pick Taylor Hall scored to make it 1-0 and Stankoven singlehandedly preserved the puck and set up Blake for goal #2 in the 2nd. From there, there was 1 man who was the star: Brandon “Bus Stop” Bussi. He made sure Vegas never had any hope of another comeback with so many big saves. He won’t win the Conn Smythe, but he still continued the Cam Ward lineage. This game was just okay, but there’s only 1 man on my mind.

Carter the rapist cries like a bitch on national television 😂😂😂😂😂. Jack Eichel is the new Auston Matthews and Mitch is so back to his form baby. Other than that. Bussi will forever be a legend in Carolina. Staal deserved that Smythe, Rod Brind’amore with an all time cup rise. How is he not in the HOD yet???? PUT HIM IN AND BUILD THE STATUE OF HIM ASAP!!!! Moral of the story. Good beats scum of the earth.

I missed the first two periods because I got my truck stuck in a ditch. As a truck guy it was very embarrassing to ask your friend with a smaller truck to pull yours out of the mud. so my friend took him and his gf to pick me up and they made me pay them 5 dollars. what kinda friends do I have am I right. but the head right head light is broken and that will need to be replaced. could have been worse but is fine, I'll get over it. then when I got home I let my dog out and made some food. let my doggy in and chilled. then I went to look at my truck again. oh yea the canes won the cup.

Carolina wins it all! and Brandon Bussi!!!!! Ahhhhh what a Dawg gets a shutout. Rod Represents Vancouver Island and Campbell River! Mitchy I’m sorry buddy u gave it your all and you will be back. Taylor Hall gets his Chip after 17 years. Stall love see it. Chatfeild a former Canucks gets his ring. And Freddy Andersen after playing for the leafs you have to be happy for him.

BRANDON BUSSI IS THE BUS STOP! He's the driving force to the Carolina Hurricanes, the player and the team that finally broke the "choker" allegations and gave Carolina its first Stanley Cup since 2006 (and to be frank, this is probably the only hardware that city will ever get)
Jabs aside, the Hurricanes came out strong in the first period, Taylor Hall had a wrist shot goal into the net to make it 1-0 at Vegas. Logan Stankoven with a crucial pass to Jackson Blake that makes it 2-0. MEANWHILE, the Vegas Golden Knights weren't even getting shots in. It felt like the once gallant team had turned pale. The 3rd period was no different, and after a late Ehlers goal in the last gasps, it was definitely over. Carter Hart off the ice? If the NHL had a spine he wouldn't even be here. Oh well, I shouldn't be mad. I'm glad the Pacific Division didn't win this year, the biggest disgrace to professional sports since the NFC South.

The Hurricanes were absolute defensive stalwarts. Wouldn't give an inch. Vegas had two shots during a 30-minute span. Insane.
Eichel will see that whiff in his nightmares. Take the L Carter Fart and John Tortellini.
Of course the biggest props go to Bussi, who was absolutely spectacular when it mattered most. Going from not playing in the playoffs at all to starting in a clinching scenario... can't imagine the pressure. But he held strong. Congrats, Canes.
