Gran partido , Elversvberg con la ventaja súper temprana con 2-0 y así la mantendría al descanso , en donde ya en el segundo tiempo metería el 3-0 y parecería que el Leverkusen no tendría respuesta alguna . Pero no sería hasta los últimos 20 minutos con primero Schick y luego Kofane para el 3-2 y estar a punto de remontarlo y al menos sacar un punto.
Decepción total para el Leverkusen , juegazo y debut a lo grande para el Elversberg y mal inicio para el entrenador Carles Martínez.

Elversberg was barely able to hold onto this game! They took a lead before the 10 minute mark, and they found a brace still before 10 minutes! That is what the scoreboard would say at halftime, but Elversberg added on one more time right away! They sat back at that point, and they were almost punished for it! Leverkusen was getting some amazing chances! They ended up getting two of the three goals they needed and they almost got the third, but Elversberg barely held on! This was a way better game than it looked like it would be!
