This was a fun comeback win for Osasuna! This wasn’t just because they figured out how to beat Celta though. Celta found the back of the net within the first 15 minutes of the match, and they controlled the rest of the half. It looked like they would do more of the same in the second half, but they were booked for a red card in the 51st minute! That completely flipped the script as Osasuna was able to find an answer just 3 minutes later, and they were able to take the lead soon after on a penalty! Celta would get some chances to respond to close this game out, but Osasuna was able to stop all of them as they get the nice win!

Celta Vigo looked like they were going to bounce back. They came out very strong in the beginning, let Osasuna take a bit of control, but it was ultimately the red card in the second half killed them and set up Los Rojillos for a sterling comeback in the 2nd half in which they broke down Celta Vigo. Speaking of which…
Remember that 39-year-old I implied could be washed in my first Celta Vigo rating? Turns out he’s not. Iago Aspas cut through Osasuna’s defence and sent a tactful finish to the bottom corner. He was far from the problem. The actual problem is the same as it’s always been, there’s not much beyond him. They could hang with 11 guys, but going down to 10 made it no contest. Osasuna completely worked them in the 2nd half. Celta Vigo couldn’t even get a shot past defenders, let alone a shot on target. Instead of waiting for the inevitable, Osasuna took advantage immediately and then just reasserted why they had the lead in the first place. Sucks for Vigo, great for Osasuna.
