This was the very expected result, but props to Monza for keeping it tied at the half. It was not tied for much longer though because Inter Milan scored three goals all pretty quick into the second half. Monza really didn’t get any good chances to comeback as Milan was definitely the better side. Easy win for Inter, but this started a lot closer than I’m sure they would’ve liked

Inter Milan looked like they were going to have a rusty start to their season, but luckily that was only for a half and they remembered how good they are in the second half. This game gave a decent mix of close football and aesthetically pleasing dominance, just not enough of either for me to rate this a green or higher.
Set piece legend Hakan Çalhanoglu scored first and made this game started out exactly how we expected. Monza then caught everybody when they scored less than 30 minutes later and made it to halftime with the game levelled 1-1. With what had already happened to Manchester United, it certainly felt like rust was just hampering the big clubs in the major leagues. Inter Milan immediately disproved that theory and showed that Manchester United actually just sucks. Zielinski scored less than 5 minutes into the second half and it became a train wreck for Monza when Esposito scored and assist the 3rd and 4th goals respectively before the second half was half-done.
