Tennessee basically just didn't have to try in the second which makes the box score look a little better for Mississippi state

Coming out and winning this game decisively would have been appreciated. But just floating to a victory against a pretty bad Mississippi State team this year is showing that at this point in the season, we are struggling to find a way to close games out, even though we did a good job in this game with it, this won't work come March. Vols move up to 17-7 (7-4) on the year. We're outside of the top 25.. im confident in these next few games until we play Vanderbilt.

Another SEC road win for Tennessee, Mississippi State is in the bottom of the conference this year, but any road win is a good one especially at this point in the year.
