Given the qualifying implications, this was about as good of a game as you can get. Korea essentially won by a run if you consider those… they had to win by 5 coming into the game and Australia couldn’t score more than 2 runs. Insane they pulled it off, huge for them as they advance to the quarterfinals.

The atmosphere was way more electric than the score. Australia almost advanced, they just needed to not lose by 5 and they looked like a team who knew that. If it wasn’t for a muffed double play opportunity, Australia would be going to Miami. Oh well Korea is probably the better team anyway

Korea was the better team all day, but after Australia scored in the 8th they had the chance to move on! They needed to lose by less than 5, but a bad error on a could be double play set up a sac-fly and Korea had their 5 run lead! Australia couldn’t score and Korea will move on!
