UNC cannot, and I repeat cannot keep turning the ball over. 13 TO’s to Navy(Navy had 6), 0 second chance points, 0 fast break points. UNC is going to have to take care of the ball, force turnovers and finish in transition. Come next week in Fort Myers against comp we need to take care of the ball!!!! Other than that UNC played good, shot 42 almost 43 percent FG and 34.8 from 3 land. Glad to see the threes are falling but I’m going to emphasize TAKE CARE OF THE BALL. I knew that was going to be an on going issue when I watched in SLC against BYU.

Outside of Caleb Wilson, this Tar Heel team did not look that good. Happy to hear that Trimble called a players-only meeting after that game because UNC should be blowing Navy out the water. The three point shooting was better than expected. Managed to shoot 35% even with Evans going 1-8. Just too many TOs once again.

UNC once again struggled to defend against shifty guards, similar to the game against Radford, Navy’s speed and agility got Caleb Wilson and Zayden High to bite, leading to short shots or open space. Aidan Kehoe did a great job neutralizing Henri Veessar down low. Uncharacteristic turnovers by guys like Kyan Evans and Caleb Wilson really made this game a lot closer than it should’ve been. On the offensive end, it’s clear that Trimble’s absence has left a hole and I wish Kyan Evans would step up but it seems to be Luka Bogavac instead, and he’s taking some tougher shots (that he can make to his credit). Caleb Wilson’s putbacks down low also really helped Carolina make sure this wasn’t any closer than it already was
