College basketball baby gotta love it! Hilton Magic is a thing. Just straight up legendary hoops here. Iowa State picks up the win after a huge run to end the game. Houston was up by 10 and was looking to close it out. We had a little ref show but still Houston is better than that so fairs to the Cyclones. Cenac did not have a good game which sucks because he was heating up this year. Both elite teams battling

A top-6 matchup that lived up to the hype. A true battle between 2 of the very best teams in the nation. Landon, very wisely, brought up how Iowa State wasn’t getting a lot of buzz despite being ranked #6 in the nation. They proved him right with this win. It wasn’t easy. This was a back-and-forth matchup pretty much all game long. Flemings and Sharp were the driving forces for Houston while Mercy Miller had an emphatic poster. Iowa State managed to keep up with a more complete team effort. Just when it looked like the Cougars were gonna put them down, the Cyclones stormed back and grabbed the win from the jaws of defeat. Iowa State can thank their shooting for that comeback, including a couple 3s from Heise and Bateman that gave them the lead and a block (at least I thought it was a block) that stopped Houston’s last good chance to tie it up. In reality, it was interior superiority on both sides that helped them keep up with the Cougars while the 3s were the boost they needed to win.

One of those games is truly jealous I wasn’t at. Incredible final 9ish minutes from Iowa state. Down 10 (lost last 11 when down 10+ in second half) Heise and Batemon made some incredible threes and you already know…

An incredible Big 12 Battle, very final four esque. I wish Houston couldn’t executed either that ATO play or grab that board after the missed free throw, to make it slightly more interesting but that’s me being selfish at this point lmao.
Only 8 turnovers total in this game, 3 from the Cyclones, incredibly disciplined basketball. All 8 players that got minutes from the Cyclones today had 6+ points, total team effort.
