Well that was an absolutely miserable way for one of the best games of season to end. Given its significance I will mention here that I think the continuation rule is awful. I’ve seen far too many circus shots get rewarded this year and to put into perspective that was nowhere near the most egregious I’ve seen. That said, Nebraska came back from the dead multiple times to somehow force overtime in one of the best second halves of the season and OT was living up to the hype until the depressing slip completely flattened the ending. Suffering builds character type of loss I suppose

The ending on this game was insane. Hate when the refs blow their whistle in the last couple seconds but a great way to start off the post football time.

Purdue was up 12 and had a 99% chance to win with 2:20 left before choking the lead away and allowing Nebraska to almost win in regulation. Boilermakers survive in OT and ended the game with 21 offensive rebounds. They needed every last one of those considering how poorly they shot the ball: 36.8% from the field, 28.3% from three, and 55% from the free throw line. Oscar Cluff and Trey Kaufman-Renn went crazy on the boards to keep Purdue from blowing a game they should have controlled to the end. Credit to Nebraska for the comeback effort, but their first half put them in a really tough spot.

Purdue looked like they would run away with this one after a big first half but Nebraska went on a huge run in the second to force the extra session where the Boilermakers got their groove back and held on after Jamarques Lawrence slipped big games from TKR with 19 boards and 12 and 14 from Oscar Cluff Fletcher Loyer and Rienk Mast were the leading scorers with 18 each

Nebraska almost did it, nearly coming back from down 14-1. They got completely dominated in the rebounds and that's most of the reason why they lost

My god that wasn’t your average slip and fall my poor guy took an absolute Looney Tunes face plant on the inbounds pass. All the mops in the world couldn’t have prevented that slip and dip.

Purdue somehow keeps on getting away with these wins. That’s was a tuff and one to basically put Nebraska away. “From a small town, of Lincoln Nebraska”

Purdue fan: wow what a game… definitely took some years off my life. If theres one thing that being a Purdue fan has thought me its that no lead is safe ever. They opened the game on a 14-1 run, led by 16 at half and was up by as much as 22 at one point. Nebraska just kept finding away. Purdue should’ve lost this game, missed free throws wouldve iced this game in regulation and then even on Nebraskas side a missed free throws kept purdue in it. All in all a great game, oscar cluff is a beast.
