UPSET ALERT. Truly a defensive battle with a generous mix of sloppy play. The team in control was always the one whose ball pressure was the most successful. Both teams were scrappy, but TCU was the scrappiest. This game went back and forth pretty much all game. When the final minutes approached, it looked like it would go down as just a valiant effort for TCU. A 5-point lead turned into a 7-point victory thanks to the 12-0 run the Horned Frogs went on after Heise’s layup. Jayden Pierre gave TCU the lead with a vicious 3-pointer and TCU cruised to victory after that. Incredibly, that was Pierre’s only 3 of the game. Micah Robinson and Tanner Toolson led the way for TCU and allowed them to keep it close enough for the eventual comeback. They kept it close with their fast break, almost anytime their ball pressure forced a turnover, their fast break offense did the rest. Iowa State gotta be kicking themselves. If they were more careful with the ball or didn’t go cold at the end, they win.

TCU is the most chaotic kind of chaos team. Will lose to absolutely anybody (New Orleans, seriously?) but also beat multiple highly ranked teams

I honestly thought Iowa state had this easily, but TCU scored the last 12 points of the game straight to get the clutch win

Growing up just outside of Fort Worth, I've always had a soft spot for TCU. Very happy too see a big win over a team that beat Purdue previously

A tough loss for Iowa State especially because of their remaining schedule. I don’t know what to think about this team right now and there’s a chance they could finish their last 7 games with a losing record.
