This was a strange one. By the most basic definition, this was a close game. Arizona thrashed the Cougars early on, but Houston made it a game by the end of the 1st half and it took about 5 minutes to make it a 1-point game. The big problem with that logic is it ignores the fact that Arizona was never in any true danger. Sure, Houston held the lead at one point and Arizona’s lead never got bigger than 10, but Houston’s shooting percentages are putrid by any standard. Flemings was alright, but nobody else on Houston had a good game by my estimation. It’s honestly surprising it took a late Dell’Orso surge to decide this one. If anything, I’d expect this to be a double digit win. It only wasn’t because of Houston’s stingy defense. Defense wins championships but you eventually need some offense. Kharchrenkov sounds like he should be playing hockey instead of basketball. In spite of that, kid had a good game. Just solid, as was most of the Wildcats. Still pretty good overall.

Good game for the most part, 1st half Arizona really felt in charge like they were eating the cougars alive but the start of the 2nd half it really felt like a big switch Houston defense was top notch like always and flemings was knocking down 3s like it was nothing and when everything looked like it was going the cougars way they folded and let Arizona finish their dinner. Im proud to say Texas Tech was able to beat Arizona @ Arizona and Houston wasn't even able to beat them at home! props to Arizona tho not many teams are able to say they beat the cougars @ Houston

Big12 delivers again, rough shot making for a stretch in the 2nd holds this one back for me. One of the most impressive wins by anyone this season for shorthanded Zona.

Aussie off the bench aka Dell’Orso with the hot n ready bucket mcflurry. That’s back to back losses for H Town now I expect them to fall out of the top 3.

Zona pulls off an incredible road win, adding to their already impressive resume. Houston needed a win, but no buckets for 10 minutes isn’t gonna get it done

This could’ve been a really great game if Houston stayed closer to Arizona, but the Wildcats controlled the vast majority of this one and prove their strength!

Super underwhelming, felt like Houston lacked a leader and Arizona just continues to get gritty wins.

Not a good look for Houston, they were not able to play sound basketball, their shooting was off and they kept turning the damn ball over.

I still believe that Houston will be ok even despite 2 straight L’s. Arizona was on the same path with losing 2 close games. They will be alright. Meanwhile Arizona gets a statement win on the road without Koa Peat.

Houston tried to make a comeback but it was not enough. Arizona looking to move back up the AP poll after this win.
