UAB offense is pitiful but Joseph Pinion was amazing tonight. Shot the lights out with a high level of confidence. UAB’s defense was at least fun to watch, but the crowd was almost completely empty

South Florida is DANGEROUS. Their record isn’t the best but they can definitely heat up and shock some people in March. They have some good wins against teams like Utah State and Tulsa and kept it close with Bama and Oklahoma State earlier in the season. On T-Rank they are ranked #74 in the country (1 spot behind Miami of Ohio) and are top 90 in both offensive and defensive efficiency. Not only can they rebound well offensively and shoot free throws consistently, but they have a really fast tempo (top 20 in the country), which is perfect matchup for a higher seed who plays a slower pace (Purdue, Virginia, Michigan State).

Huge road win for USF against UAB, 82-69! Pinion led with 23 points and 6 threes. Nelson with the 16 point, 10 rebound DD. USF now 12-7 overall, 4-2 in AAC Play.
