My friends THAT is how you start a series against the New York Yankees. Rare bad start by 2024 Tanner Houck, allowing 3 early runs to the Yankees to fall behind 3-0 early, but the Sox clawed back. Solo home run by Romy Gonzalez in the 5th then in the 9th it was Masataka Yoshida who went yard to tie it. Masataka Yoshida always seems to find a way to come up clutch against the Yankees and this was no different. Then the most clutch player on the Red Sox, Ceddanne Rafaela, goes yard to make it 5-3 in the tenth.
In the wise words of Coley Mick "If you need a hit Rafaela gets a hit if you don't need the hit he's largely uninterested in the at bat entirely"
