Terrible lead to blow. Wyatt Langford just seems to have our number. Up 7-4 in the 9th and Langford drills a 3-run bomb to tie it. There's just one hitter on every team, usually a righty, that just absolutely rakes whenever he comes to Fenway. For the Rangers, that's Wyatt Langford. Jonah Heim ends up going yard in the 10th for the game winner. Just look at the Red Sox recent seasons, bullpen has always been a huge problem when they've struggled. In 2021, the pen was great. Hansel Robles had an incredible stretch run in August and September. In 2022 and 2023, the bullpen was awful. In 2024, it was better, Jansen was great, but overall not very good. In 2025, anchored by Chapman, it was very good. And now, in 2026, with Chapman and Whitlock having incredible years, Bello having a better ERA coming out of the bullpen than any other reliever in baseball, including Mason Miller. Weissert's started to get better lately. And the addition of Erik Miller at the deadline, this bullpen is elite.
