The Angels just love doing absolutely nothing sometimes. This was a very bad start from Griffin Canning, and the Halos led the entire game. Canning allowed a 3 run bomb to Marcell Ozuna in the first inning. The Angels never got close to coming back too because Canning just kept allowing runs. A rally in the second got a run across and he was finally pulled in the middle of a 5th inning rally. Whit Merrifield hit a solo shot to get the rally going, and a Travis d’Arnaud 2 RBI double made it 7-0. A Ramon Laureano 2 run shot would make it 9-0 as the Braves kept burying the Angels deeper. The Halos did end up getting on the board eventually, but it was way too little too late at that point. Chris Sale also played a big part in this game as he completely diced up the Halos lineup. Very terrible showing from the Angels
