Rocky Flop. Michigan is a train that can’t be stopped right now. Just an elite performance all around. An avalanche was hit (20-0 run) in the first half and it was over from there. AMENT HATE WATCH WAS SUCCESSFUL AS WELL. This next round is going to be insane. Arizona vs Michigan. Unreal stuff!

Not what you’re looking for if you wanted a memorable Elite 8 game. If you’re a Michigan fan you rate this 8+ because Michigan looked absolutely dominant and like the favorite to win IMO. It was only a matter of time in the first half until Michigan pulled away and you saw it happen very early.

After the Sweet 16 win, Lendeborg said he believed his Michigan squad was the best Michigan team ever. Jalen Rose, a major part of the legendary Fab 5 teams, responded to that claim with “You want to have that conversation? Go cut down the net.” After watching this, I think they’re taking his words to heart. After a couple Elite 8 games where we had to wait almost the entire game for 1 team to finally pull away, Michigan decided not waste nearly as much time letting their opponent hang around. It was a close game after 10 minutes and Michigan proceeded to steamroll the Volunteers. Just 5 minutes after it was 17-16, Michigan led 38-18. The game could’ve ended there. The rest was basically waiting for the victory to be official. This is the 2nd-biggest Elite 8 blowout in the shot clock era (8th-biggest ever), the biggest of the 21st century. Honestly, I’m glad they went for it. Sure, this game was massively disappointing that turned into a game of watch the clock drain, they went for it.
