Top fan take from @bhall23: “Was an offensive showcase more than anything. Both teams were knocking down shots from deep, while the defenses were pretty loose, sending each other to the bonus early. UMBC had some nice moments, especially that Armstrong dagger to bring the Retriever’s within 2 with 40 seconds left, but it never really felt like they had control of the game. They were playing a little too fast on offense and not always getting great looks, and on the other end they just couldn’t quite keep up with Howard’s pace and ball movement. Was a fun watch regardless with lots of dunks, deep and contested threes, smooth pull-ups, and tough finishes at the rim. Caden Diggs and Jah’Likai King had strong nights for UMBC, while Okojie and Harris stood out for Howard. Both teams played hard and showed grit, but credit to Howard for keeping it together and closing it out. The Bison might give Michigan a few moments of worry, but wouldn’t bank on them scoring the upset. GREAT GAME TO INTRODUCE MARCH AGAIN☘️‼️ ”
