After putting up 2 in the first the bats went quiet long enough for some sloppy defense to let the Twins tie it up the third time through the order but they battled. 4 2 out RBI for Naylor and then after taking the lead in the 8th, they had a 2 out rally in the 9th for some insurance because this team never quits on an inning, an at-bat, or a game. Pitching wise, Junis has 6 clean outs in relief and Messick with 5.1 IP and 2 ER which is merely his 5th best of 6 career starts. He has quickly become one of my favorites on the staff because he works fast and pounds the zone. He’ll give some hits but another 9 Ks tonight and less walks on the year than starts. Big doubleheader tomorrow.”
