Jacob Young made one of the most unnatural but somehow smooth and instantaneous catches I've ever seen in a baseball game. He hacky-sacked the baseball to himself off the wall.
And then in the bottom of the 9th with 1 down he made another robbery and completely crushed the poor souls in Citi field. Speechless.

It was insane to see Jacob Young do that twice with my own eyeballs. Unfortunately, I was seeing Jacob Young do that twice with my own eyeballs.
Incredibly painful game primarily because it felt like we were so close the entire time and also because it means that October is that much farther away.
While I hope that he's a Met next year, there's a real possibility that this was the last time that Pete Alonso plays at Citi Field as a Met. It's a heartbreaking thought, but I'm just glad that it was a good AB.
Glad to have fun with my buds.

As a Mets fan, while I am a bit bitter about the game, I tip my cap to Jacob Young for making those 2 amazing catches. Mullins continues to underperform. Hot Take: I don't think Vientos should have been ejected. It was the end of an inning and players should be allowed to express emotions.
