The Fish came back to tie it in the 8th and 9th. Rain delay in the bottom of the 9th. Fish sent it to extras. They got 2 runs in the 10th and had 2 outs in the bottom half still up 2 before giving up two singles to let the Phillies tie it. Xavier Edwards hit a sac fly in the 11th to retake the lead, and Josh Simpson (with his 8 ERA) was able to rebound from the previous inning and close it out. The Marlins are 4 GB with 5 games to go. If the Cubs hadn’t sold the Marlins would only be 3 back.
Shoutout to Heriberto Hernandez for the game tying homer in the 9th off of Johan Duran. I feel like the game was won for Dane Myers who got injured early.
