Even with Detroit scoring first and Bibee looking shaky for most of his innings, I was never worried. We simply broke these guys when we beat Skubal again last night. Tanner gave us 6 strong despite having little command and getting squeezed by the umps a number of times, Valera with the biggest hit of his young career, and the usual suspects came through with insurance rbis. Cade and Gaddis only got 1 out each so both can probably go tomorrow. Win tomorrow and ice these guys.

I will admit upfront that this game gets an extra point just for the electric atmosphere in Cleveland. Definitely felt like a playoff game and it might as well be one. With this win, Cleveland officially takes the division lead. All thanks to great pitching and Jose Ramirez being good all the time. But besides those 2 constants in Cleveland baseball, they also had some clutch hits. Particularly from George Valera hitting his 2nd home run of the season right after the Tigers took the lead, just barely avoiding a Tiger glove. What a run for the Guardians and what a collapse by the Tigers. The craziest part is that neither are finished.
