While i’m more worried than i thought i’d be, i said going in i’d take 2/3. We still control our own destiny for the central and have a much easier final series than Detroit on paper, but boy it would’ve been sweet to have this one. Messick was about as good as you can when giving up 3 HRs but a few mistake pitches will come back to bite this offense more often than not. Credit to Detroit for breaking out of their funk. What a weekend ahead!

The Tigers finally wake up and right when they needed to. They are now tied with the Guardians and a game ahead of the Astros. With the combination of a few solo shots and great pitching, the Tigers hold off the collapse. They took the lead early and actually hung onto it for once. Shoutout to Javy Baez holding it from the end of the lineup. Despite the best efforts of Jose Ramirez and Austin Hedges, this division race isn’t over yet.
