Astros are putting pressure on the Tigers emphatically. Without Severino, the A’s were helpless against the Astros hitters in a fun blowout (not an oxymoron). This game also gets a bonus point for being the rare game where at least 1 run was scored in almost every inning. Also, this was just an aesthetically pleasing blowout. How do I keep watching Astros games where Christian Walker (a sub .300 OBP hitter) plays really well. But along with him, Altuve did his thing and Correa continues to enjoy his return to Houston. Kurtz continues to be ELITE while Langeliers is consistently productive. Overall, a much needed easy win for the Astros with the most important series of their season coming up. Even with the small scare in the bottom of the 9th.
