LOLMETS. I mean I do find myself rooting for the Marlins in 156/162 games a season, but today, I really wanted to see the Mets make the playoffs. I cannot lie, I do NOT believe in the reds ability to convert against the dodgers, but here we are. Thank you fins fam for an awesome season, I'll see y'all on my birthday!

The New York Mets lost and will miss the playoffs. At one point they were 45-24. They end the season at 83-79. An all-time collapse. From the best record in the Majors to out of the postseason. Actually astonishing how that happened and how slowly but surely it played out over the final 3 months.

This Marlins team was refreshing. There were periods where the team didn’t look great, but there were periods where they looked unstoppable. Next year, this team is going to make the playoffs and be a competitive team for years to come. Also, this year they decided to keep some franchise tradition by eliminating the Mets on the last day of the season (2007, 2008, 2025). I’m going to miss this Marlins team but I am extremely excited for what next season will hold for the franchise.

The 2025 New York Mets took a years worth of hard earned fan-capital, lit it on fire, and gave it away like a failed Citi Field collectible gimmick. Seven hundred million dollars (that's 700,000,000) to Juan Soto to see him ground into a double play in the final game of the saeson with a the playoffs begging to be made. David Stearns, in less than a calendar year, has gone from baseball wunderkind to one of the financial institutions of the 2008 financial crisis that Bears (Sterns) his same name. Steven Cohen with delusional positivity on X and in interviews with no substance behind it. I feel bad for absolutely no one on this franchise. What a wasted season. 20 games above .500 to missing the playoffs is so incredibly on brand you could not Fred Wilpon this ending any better.
