This hit me like a ton of bricks. ROOT Sports final broadcast AND Kershaw's final regular season start and just like that; a pieces of my childhood fade like fog on the Sound. I now know what A's fans felt like last year for game 162. Heartbreak in nostalgia. I love you Seattle.

This was always gonna be a weird series for me. Honestly a bit deflating. Was really hoping it'd be more competitive.
On the Mariners end obviously I'm disappointed. But I haven't lost faith in them, they've already come further than I ever imagined they would at the beginning of this season. They have far exceeded expecations. Clearly this postseason isn't going to be easy. But they're ready. I know they are. They just have to meet the moment.
These Dodgers however, a sweep is a good way to end a season but Jesus Fucking Christ this whole season went so much worse than it should have. So many games that were all but sewed up until one thing or another begins a chain reaction that scuttles the whole ship. We're in the playoffs, we even have the division again, but it really feels like we're barely scraping by. This series has me feeling better about that godforsaken bullpen (I NEVER gave up on Roki Sasaki,) but there's still a long way to go.
