After a day full of playoff games that ranged from good to great, I guess the baseball gods decided we needed to be reminded that it could’ve been worse. The Dodgers eviscerate the Reds and remind us that they are here mainly because the Mets choked it away. On top of the many bombs the Dodgers hit on the Reds, Blake Snell also had a vintage playoff start and kept the Reds off the board until the 7th inning when the Dodgers were well past getting comfortable with their lead. Reds really tried to make this interesting (and the Dodgers bullpen tried to help them do that), but it wasn’t enough to make this game interesting down the stretch. Ohtani and Teoscar were the driving forces behind that big lead and the rest of the Dodgers kept adding to it when the Reds finally put some runs on the board to the point that I was hoping they’d stop so the game could end sooner. At least the crowd was electric.

Snell didn’t allow the Reds to do anything through 6 and the Dodgers offense put them up by a lot, carried by 2 Ohtani home runs, but then the 7th came along. Snell gave up 2 in the 7th and the bullpen came in for the 8th and it got real interesting. Vesia loaded the bases and walked in 2 runs with Henriquez walking in 1 more, but he is able to strand the bases loaded and the Dodgers hold on from there

Forgot to rate this game but this was a good game plenty of scoring and dodgers take a 1-0 lead. Teo hit 2 home runs and Ohtani also hit 2 home runs. Dodger offense was amazing. Almost choked the lead away at the end but thank god they didn’t. This Dodgers bullpen scares me a bit but I still think we are going back to back. LETS GO DODGERS
